Fall Fashion 2025 is a Blast from the Past

Fashion forward thinkers will be looking to the past for inspiration this fall. The retro phenomenon is huge. Trendy pieces can be found at vintage stores and boutiques alike. Don't let your wallet limit your creativity.  Right here in the heartland I'm seeing trendy pieces on fashion forward ladies of all ages. 

Retro Style

At a birthday party last weekend, I saw a nod to the retro style in everything from varsity jackets to lace skirts and peplum tops. Think 80s and 90s retro and you get the idea. It's a new style for generation alpha (those born between 2010 and 2024) and a return to youth for those from previous generations.

Cardigan Style

Everywhere I look I'm seeing track pants and jeans with accent stripes down the side, oversized bottoms paired with tank tops, crop tops, and cardigans. It's all about a vibe that communicates independence. Add any type of animal print or faux fur with a chain belt and you've got a look that's spot on this season.

Charm Style

Finally, if you want to jump on the fashion train this fall, I challenge you to find one of your mom or grandma's brooches. They are hot again and can be worn on sweaters, purses, scarves, jackets and dresses. Finding a vintage one with a story behind it is a plus, so dig deep in those closets at grandma's house or make a trip to a local vintage shop this weekend and have a ball.
