Fall and Winter 2026 Trend Report

We’re gearing up for game day, and clothing will reflect it all season long. It’s an exciting time to bring out your stripes and polka dots in bold game day colors.

Accessories will be big and bold with chunky maximalism. Charms will still be popular, and people will be wearing them on everything from necklaces to drink holders and phones. If you can get a charm on it, then you will see it this fall.

Maximalism isn’t just for chunky accessories. It will spill over into bold bright jewel tone colors in clothing and shoes. They call it dopamine dressing. It’s dressing to lift the spirit, and we all need that going into a new school year.

At the opposite end of the spectrum will be the cortisol dressers who choose the relaxed styles and peaceful neutral colors that emote a sense of calm, quiet luxury.

Western style will still influence the clothing industry. Plan to see loads of browns and leather with western fringe making an appearance.

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary we will still see Americana this calendar year. Think Ralph Lauren inspiration in both men and women’s apparel. This means cable knit sweaters, simple classic looks that convey confidence.

If you love animals, then this season will be a great one for you. Sweaters with horses, dogs, ducks, and swans will abound as will animal prints including leopard, zebra, and Bambi. The emphasis will probably be on leopard as it is considered the most neutral of all animal prints.

Tartain plaid will be back in a major way as will denim on denim looks. Speaking of denim, we will see the return of denim low-rise jeans. That may be more popular with some age demographics than others. 😊
